You’re exhausted, but you can’t seem to switch off. There’s always one more thing to do, someone who needs you, or a list running through your head when you finally get into bed. You get up and do it all again, even when you feel you’ve nothing left to give.
When life keeps you on alert, your stress response stays busy too. Cortisol is part of that response, but there is rarely one hormone that explains everything. Sleep, nourishment, your menstrual cycle and the demands placed on you can all shape how you feel. Keep burning the candle at both ends and, sooner or later, it can feel as though the flame is going out.
You don’t have to do every day the same way
I want to understand what your days actually look like, where your energy goes and when you feel most depleted. Are there things you can take off your list, share with someone else or leave until tomorrow? Are there points in your cycle when you know you need more rest, but keep expecting the same output from yourself?
Together, we can look at food, sleep and daily routines, as well as the pressure you’re carrying. The aim isn’t to give you another long list to manage. It’s to find a rhythm that makes room for what you need, including quieter days when your body is asking you to slow down.
